Sassa old age grant age limit
To qualify for the SASSA old age grant you must be a South African citizen who is 60 years of age or older.

How do you know if you qualify for the SASSA old age grant?
To be eligible for the SASSA old age award, you must meet the following requirements:
- Live inside South African borders as a South African citizen, refugee, or permanent resident
You should not get any other social grant for yourself; - you should not be cared for in a state facility, such as a prison; and
- you should not earn more than R86 280 if you are single or R172 560 if you are married.
- you should not have assets worth more than R1 227 600 if single, or R2 455 200 if married
How much will you get?
You will be paid a maximum of R1 980 every month. If you are over the age of 75, you will receive R2 000.
